Questions For New Patients: How Can Chiropractic Help Me in Chapin SC?

Chiropractic Chapin SC How Can Chiropractic Help Me

So now that we know what things we are looking for, how exactly is Chiropractic care in Chapin SC supposed to help anyway?? I mean, "cracking bones" is supposed to help my headaches? or nerve pain down my legs? or help my high blood pressure?

Okay so hear me out...

Your Brain is the most essential organ in the human body. Know how we know? It's just the ONLY organ in the body completely encased in protective bone, aka your skull. It controls the function of every major system in the body, all the way down to the cellular level. It controls all of our senses, including pain reception.

OKAY LET'S STOP HERE FOR A SEC and get on the same page about pain...

What Is Pain In Chapin SC?

Pain is not a disease, it is a symptom. Pain is a reaction to something that is harmful to our body's well-being. It is our body's way of letting us know, "Hey! Something bad is happening." We, humans, are too quick to run from pain at all costs. Even if it causes us damage, we don't care as long as we don't feel it. Pain pills are a multi-billion $$ part of an industry that profits off your being in pain. Relies on it. Proven side-effects from ulcers and liver damage all the way to dangerous addiction... We don't care as long as we don't feel it right now. Okay, before we go too far down that road, I'd like to point out that pain management is necessary under the right circumstances. Medical intervention for pain management can keep people from dying during acute trauma like an accident or surgery, and at the very least make someone comfortable during a period of healing. I think we can agree though, that for every day (non-life-threatening) pains and discomforts, there must be a better solution. Something that gets our bodies out of harm's way instead of staying perpetually in it?... an exciting rant lol.

Our brain uses a very intricate system to control and communicate with every cell in our body... the nervous system. The main highway for this system is the spinal cord with its heavily protected segments of bone called vertebrae. These segmented bones allow for our spinal cord to be protected, but also, highly flexible. Allowing us freedom of movement. This movement ability comes at a cost, however... These segments can become misaligned and put pressure on the nerves around them. This can cause the flow of communication to be interrupted or corrupted from the brain to the rest of the body, causing dis-ease in the body and eventually...pain.

Chiropractors specialize in correcting misalignments in the structure of the body, specifically the spine. Specific adjustments to a joint (space between 2 bones) can alleviate pain and allow the body to do what it was designed to do, heal itself. When the brain is able to communicate clearly with the body, without interference, the body can function optimally. The heart knows how many times to beat and how much pressure to use, the stomach knows when to produce acid, and muscles know when to contract all because the brain tells them.

So many have experienced the positive effects of chiropractic care and relief from conditions such as neck and back pain, headaches, knee pain, shoulder pain, carpal tunnel, plantar fasciitis, high/low blood pressure, fatigue, excess anxiety and stress, digestive issues, sexual dysfunction, infertility, and the list continues. If the nervous system controls it, there's a chance Chiropractic can help.

Are you suffering from something other than what's listed above? Or want to know more about how specifically Chiropractic can help you? Scroll up to the top and hit the "Request Appointment" button at the top left of the site. We'd be more than happy to sit down with you and help you understand how Chiropractic care can help, and plan a "road map" to better health and wellness.

"So I've heard, once you start Chiropractic, you can't stop" or "Chiropractors try to get your money by committing you to this 6-month plan instead of just letting you come in when you feel you need to." Heard anyone say this before? If so, don't worry, we have heard it too. Are those statements true? If you get treated by a Chiropractor, how many times should you have to go and how often? We will cover that in our next blog post.
